Visual Narrative: Living Voices Week 3

Keyed animation

This week I am introduced to Toom boom and key animation. Being new to the animation production process as I used to be an illustration student, Key animation is not so hard for me to do as I only need to think about the static postures or gestures and make them match the audio.

I did not make the movements really expressive because of the fear of over-animating and I want my animation to be a casual chilled conversation without so much drama and that is why I keep my characters moving in a small range.

CONCLUSION:

It took me some time to get familiar with the software and remember shortcuts have always been such a time-consumer for me. However, the making of key animation is not such a problem as the movements are what would happen in a normal conversation.
